Judy, who was born in Wheaton, Illinois, on January 7, 1952, got to know John Belushi when she was a student at Wheaton Central High School. In 1973, they relocated to New York, where Judy started off as an art assistant before rising to the position of associate producer for “The National Lampoon Radio Hour.” Before John’s tragic death in 1982 from a heroin overdose at the age of 36, the pair was married in 1976.
Judy committed her entire life to upholding John Belushi’s legacy. She was a key contributor to the 2020 Showtime documentary “John Belushi” and co-wrote his biography. Judy subsequently wed Victor Pisano, a writer and director, and the two of them oversaw the Belushi Pisano Gallery in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
