It Looks Like Hotstar’s Next Action Series Is Only Half Baked!

One well-known OTT platform with a large selection of shows is Hotstar. Some of the highest-rated television shows, including “Criminal Justice,” “Special Ops,” and “Grahan,” have come from it. Even the recently released “Lootere” and “Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo” performed well, drawing strong viewership.

But the action thriller series “Commander Karan Saxena” doesn’t seem to be doing well based on the most recent teaser trailer. A 30-second shoddy trailer for the show was made available on Hotstar, and it included the same jingoistic rhetoric and India-Pakistan clichés.

With well-known TV personalities Gurmeet Chaudhary and Iqbal Khan in the key parts, the programme appears to provide little fresh except for Gurmeet Chaudhary’s bare body shots, implausible action, and a shoddy final product. This teaser had the feel of a marketing video for a TV show.

It’s time Hotstar gave better productions more of an emphasis. Excellent action series like “Special Ops” and “The Freelancer” have been produced by Hotstar itself.
