In the second Twenty20 International of their series at Harare Sports Club, opener Abhishek Sharma gave an incredible performance, slamming a brilliant century to lead India to a formidable total of 234/2 in 20 overs against Zimbabwe.

India, who chose to bat first, suffered an early blow when Blessing Muzarabani sent captain Shubman Gill packing for only two runs. But in difficult batting conditions, Abhishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad stabilised the innings.

Together, they dominated the first few overs and helped India to 36 runs in the powerplay at one wicket loss. Their collaboration grew even stronger, reaching 50 runs in 8.1 overs, demonstrating a well-balanced combination of aggression and solidity.

With four boundaries and three sixes, Abhishek Sharma scored his half-century in T20Is in 33 balls, showcasing his aggressive batting approach. In just 64 deliveries, he and Gaikwad’s duo reached the 100-run milestone.

Abhishek Sharma showed off even more power hitting as he accelerated, leading to an incredible moment where he blasted three straight sixes to score his first T20I century in just 46 balls. By the eleventh over, his assault had taken India past the 100-run barrier, and he had set a formidable target of 235 runs for Zimbabwe.
