Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki Didn’t Get Much Money, According to Taapsee Pannu: In their opinion, they are doing a favor.

Taapsee revealed that she didn’t receive as much money for the movie in an interview with Indian Express. Rajkumar Hirani was the director of the 2023 release.

“Funnily, people think I do films like Judwaa or Dunki for money, that I get paid a lot,” Taapsee stated in an interview with SCREEN. However, the contrary is true: I get paid more for movies in which I play the lead, such as Haseen Dilruba, whereas other movies don’t really pay me much because they believe they are doing me a favor by casting me in such a movie. “Why do we need anybody else for that when there is already a big hero?” they think. I battle these ideas every single day.

She went on to say that heroes choose the heroine. Even the general public is aware that heroes choose the heroine in the majority of their movies, unless the filmmaker is a hugely popular figure with a following of their own. The director will then answer a call anyway,” Taapsee continued.

In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Rajkumar Hirani disclosed that SRK was certain that despite the comedy-drama’s favorable reception, it wouldn’t attract the same kind of audience as action films like Jawan and Pathaan did.

Regarding her career, Pannu’s next film will be Gandhari. The movie’s trailer was just released on Netflix. The project appears to center on a woman who, when her children are in danger, takes extreme measures.
