Model in plus size The recent Miss Alabama 2024 event was won by Sara Milliken. Hundreds of trolls ridiculing the 23-year-old’s appearance, however, swiftly put an end to her excitement and happiness.
She was referred to as “unhealthy” by many and as a “embarrassment” online by others. But Milliken decided to strike back, warning her attackers that their online remarks and content can have a long-lasting impact on other people.

“People can be affected by whatever you write on a screen, even if it’s only text,” Milliken told WKRG. It can cause people to do some really dark things to themselves, even though I’m not there yet.” She claimed that she allowed the hate to affect her for roughly five minutes before deciding not to read the comments made by those who were offended.
Sara Milliken: who is she?
Sara is a plus-sized model who was born in Alabama. She has competed twice in the Memorial Day competition before taking first place in 2024. Eight years prior, Milliken disclosed, the event organisers had issued an open call, to which she had responded.
In addition to being a mental health advocate and host of the Girls Gotta Glow podcast, she has received the President’s Service Award. The Buddy System is an organisation that Milliken created in 2020 with the goal of bridging the generational gap by encouraging friendships among individuals of all ages.

Milliken claims that she nearly doubled her Instagram and Facebook followers in a single night. “No matter what your body looks like or where you come from, you can do anything you set your mind to,” declared the Miss Alabama winner.
In an effort to assist her advance to the next round, hundreds of her admirers have since sent thousands of dollars’ worth of clothing and cosmetics into her inbox. Milliken called for sympathy, emphasising that other victims of cyberbullying might not have experienced the same thing.
