Previous Episode Recap of Criminal Minds Season 17

The “Gold Star” murderers, Damien and Jade, present a new challenge for the BAU since they seem to be a part of a larger conspiracy. Unexpectedly, in order to get to Damien, the team needs to enlist the help of serial killer Elias Voit.

Voit, who enjoys making fun of BAU members, frequently targets Rossi, which causes friction within the group. Garcia finds it unsettling to be in Voit’s vicinity because of his unsettling aura. The group depends on Voit’s understanding of Damien’s behaviour.

They discover that he was mistreated in the juvenile institution Stuart House before being trained by a private military contractor, who transformed him into a violent individual with a warped outlook on life.

The BAU manipulates the situation to get Damien to meet them in order to stop more killings from occurring. The show ends abruptly as Damien accepts to meet but loses signal before disclosing his location.
