India vs Pakistan at the T20 World Cup Champions Trophy dates revealed!

Champions Trophy Schedule: The United States and the West Indies are currently hosting the T20 World Cup 2024 matches. Concurrently, the dates for the Champions Trophy, another significant ICC tournament, have been disclosed. A report on Cricbuzz states that the dates for organising the Champions Trophy 2025 are February 19–March 9.

 

Although the exact dates of the Champions Trophy are yet unknown, reports state that the window will open on February 19 and close on March 9. These 20 days will be dedicated to the competition. There had been conjecture that the competition would begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday. That being said, March 9 is a Sunday and February 19 is a Wednesday.

All member boards have been given access to the Champions Trophy preliminary schedule so they can modify their leagues as necessary. According to the International League T20, the competition will take place from January 11 to February 9. From January 9 to February 8, the South Africa T20 League will also take place within this time frame.

 

Will the Indian squad compete for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan?

Whether or whether Pakistan will host all of the Champions Trophy matches is still up in the air. Pakistan has not been visited by the Indian squad in a number of years. Team India did not go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, and instead, its matches were held in Sri Lanka.

India’s most recent visit to Pakistan took place in 2008 for the Asia Cup. The Pakistani squad has already made three trips to India for ICC competitions. It would be intriguing to observe the BCCI’s stance this time around, though, as this is the first significant ICC event to be hosted in Pakistan. The Indian squad can only travel to Pakistan with official government sanction. It was also reported a few days ago that Mohsin Naqvi, the head of PCB, is seeking assurances from India to travel to Pakistan to play in the Champions Trophy.
