The reports claiming that Kevin Costner and Jewel are dating are just that—rumors.
The actor dismissed rumours that they are dating, saying that he stars in, produces, directs, and co-wrote the next Western epic “Horizon: An American Saga.”
Jewel and I are friends, not rivals. In an interview with Howard Stern on June 18, he stated, “We’ve never gone out, ever.” “I don’t want these rumours to destroy our friendship because that’s what we have, and she’s special. To me, she is unique. She is attractive enough for a date.
Costner explained that the conversation began after visiting Richard Branson’s island in the British Virgin Islands.
“We had arrived at Branson’s Island. I was unaware that she had a foundation, and she was a member of it. And I eventually went to Necker Island because Richard Branson had been pleading with me to do so for years,” he stated.
“I suddenly got divorced. He’s been asking me to go down there for ten years; I’m a single father. I replied, “I guess I’ll go down.”
The actor from “Bull Durham” claimed to have “had some tremendous conversations with” Jewel, Emma Watson, and a few other well-known persons during his stay.
Although Costner claimed to be travelling on a private jet with nine other individuals, there were rumours that he was alone with Jewel.
We have a friendship because I’ve had text exchanges with her and she’s really intelligent and has experienced a lot in her own life.We haven’t dated or are in a romantic relationship,” he remarked. She is intelligent and attractive enough for all of those things. Simply said, it has never occurred to us.

Kevin Costner expresses his wish to be in love in a timeless, passionate way.
He went on, “She’s everything you might think, but it just hasn’t happened.”
Jewel has previously spoken out regarding the rumours that she and Costner are romantically involved, but she did not go so far as to confirm or refute the reports.
The 50-year-old singer of “Who Will Save Your Soul” was questioned about the 69-year-old “Yellowstone” star in an April Elle interview. She blushed and said, “He’s a great person,” the magazine reported.
“There’s no denying the public’s intense fascination with romance,” she continued.
After TMZ released images of Jewel and Costner cuddling during a charity event for Jewel’s Inspiring Children Foundation on Branson’s Necker Island the previous month, the two ignited romance rumours in December.
A few days prior, when the “Foolish Games” singer posted about the benefit on Instagram, she commended Costner for mentoring the foundation’s youth.
Jewel posted a montage of photos from the Nov. 28 event with the comment, “Every year, my foundation @inspiringchildren and I go to Necker Island to help host a tennis event w @richardbranson to raise funds for our kids.” “This year, @kevincostnermodernwest mentored our children, and Sir Richard was his usual inspirational self—who also plays mean doubles!”
One of the pictures in her carousel included her and Costner posing on a beach with other people.
The couple’s images were released about seven months after Costner’s ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, filed for divorce on May 1, 2023, alleging irreconcilable differences, following an 18-year marriage.
Cayden, Hayes, and Grace are the three teenage children that Costner and Baumgartner have.
In September 2023, the former couple finalised their divorce settlement following several months of acrimonious court filings and legal petitions.
Jewel previously wed rodeo star Ty Murray from 2008 to 2014. Kase, the 12-year-old son of the ex-spouses, is their shared child.
Jewel talked about her “painful” breakup with Murray in a recent Elle interview, stating that it forced her to reorganise both her personal and professional life.
She continued, “For me, motherhood inspired a whole new level of healing, a new set of behavioural tools, and required creating a different life that had more stability because the music industry is just incredibly unstable.”
