The previous son-in-law of Chiranjeevi Hyderabad resident Sirish Bharadwaj passes away from illness: Report

After Sreeja accused Sirish of dowry harassment, they got divorced in 2014.

Zee Telugu reports that Sirish had been unwell for some time and passed away after being admitted to the hospital in Hyderabad. In addition, actor Sri Reddy, who has a tense relationship with Chiranjeevi’s family, shared the news and expressed his grief on Facebook.

Sri posted an old photo of Sirish with Sreeja, Chiranjeevi’s daughter, and their daughter, Nivrithi, on Facebook. “She also posted, “Rest in peace, sirish,” on X, formerly Twitter. Zee Telugu claims that Sirish passed away while being treated for a disease in a Gachibowli, Hyderabad, private hospital. A statement from the hospital and the family is still pending.

Sreeja and Sirish

At Hyderabad’s Arya Samaj, 19-year-old Sreeja Konidela eloped and wed 22-year-old Sirish in 2007. She told the media after the wedding that she was looking for protection because she felt threatened by her relatives. She had requested police protection from her father and had married Sirish against the desires of her family. Because Chiranjeevi was underage, she claimed in her kidnapping complaint against Sirish.

Due to their unconventional marriage, the pair gained national recognition. 2008 saw the birth of their daughter, Nivrithi. Her mother Surekha and only Ram Charan paid her a visit at the hospital. Sreeja brought a dowry harassment lawsuit against Sirish and his family in 2011.

2014 saw their divorce, after which Sreeja made peace with her relatives. Sirish entered the political sphere. Later on, both Sreeja and Sirish were married again. In front of their families, Sreeja wed Kalyaan Dhev in 2016, however the couple divorced in 2022. Navishka is their daughter.
