“Lady in the Lake” teaser: In this chilling thriller, Natalie Portman looks into the death of Moses Ingram.
The seven-part limited series, which is based on the 2019 novel by New York Times bestselling author Laura Lippman, debuts on Friday, July 19, with new episodes airing every Friday through August 23.
The trailer for Apple TV+’s next limited series, Lady in the Lake, which stars Moses Ingram and Natalie Portman, was released on Wednesday. The seven-part limited series, which was created and directed by Alma Har’el, is based on Laura Lippman’s 2019 New York Times bestselling novel.
The voiceover of Cleo Johnson, played by Ingram, opens the unsettling teaser. She appears to be speaking to Maddie Schwartz, played by Portman, who pulled her corpse out of a water. The remainder of the teaser leaves viewers in disbelief as we discover Maddie’s true identity and the things she did to achieve her goal of being a published author.

Bad Wolf America and Crazyrose are the producers of the series. Har’el and Christopher Leggett co-executive produce. Portman and her producing partner, Sophie Mas, share the role of executive producer. Executive producers for Crazyrose are the late Jean-Marc Vallée and Nathan Ross, while executive producers for Bad Wolf America are Julie Gardner. Executive producers include Layne Eskridge, Amy Kaufman, Boaz Yakin, and author Lippman.
The first two episodes of Lady in the Lake will air on Friday, July 19, with additional episodes airing every Friday until August 23.
