Kevin Costner talks about his alleged romance with Jewel: “We never, ever went out.”

On “The Howard Stern Show,” the 69-year-old star of “Yellowstone” refuted reports that he is dating the singer-songwriter, emphasising that their relationship is merely platonic.
The actor said, “Never, ever have we gone out.” We have a friendship, and she’s great, so I don’t want these rumours to ruin it. Really, she’s attractive enough to go out with.”
Costner and Christine Baumgartner divorced in 2023, having been married for eighteen years.
They have three kids together. September saw the former couple come to a “amicable and mutually agreed upon” settlement, according to Costner’s representative speaking to USA TODAY.

Following TMZ’s story that the “Horizon” actor and Jewel travelled to the Caribbean together to attend a fundraiser for Jewel’s organisation on Richard Branson’s Necker Island, romance rumours involving the two surfaced in December. They were observed interacting in a “flirty” way.
But Costner emphasised on “The Howard Stern Show” that he was invited by Branson to travel to the island with nine individuals, including Jewel and Emma Watson. He claimed to have had “tremendous conversations” with Watson and Jewel throughout the trip.
“The rumour was I went down on a private plane with her, I went back on a private plane,” he stated.
Costner went on, “We’re pals. There is no romanticism between us. We haven’t dated. She is intelligent and attractive enough for all of those things. Simply said, it has never occurred to us.”
In addition, the actor admitted to Stern that he is single at the moment, but added, “I like the idea of that.”
Jewel played it cool while responding to relationship rumours involving Costner in an April Elle feature. She told Elle that “he’s a great person,” while she acknowledged that the “public fascination is intense for sure.”
In a May People magazine interview, Jewel avoided answering a question on the reported affair.
