This Saturday marks the introduction of “Article 370” on the over-the-top platform Netflix, as the streaming service just revealed on social media. A key character in the movie, Yami Gautam, recently shared her appreciation for the experience of seeing it through to its triumphant 50-day run in theatres.
Yami gave a moving reflection on the film’s journey, from its conception to the end of its 50 days in theatres, in an emotional Instagram post earlier this month. She conveyed her sincere appreciation to the entire cast and crew, producer Jyoti Deshpande, director Aditya Suhas Jambhale, and actors Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar for their contributions. Yami expressed her gratitude to the crowd for their steadfast support and reiterated her conviction that innovative films have the ability to strike a chord with audiences.
The film ‘Article 370’, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Aditya Suhas Jambhale, features Yami as intelligence officer Zooni Haksar. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film starring Yami Gautam and Priyamani debuted in theatres on February 23.
‘Article 370’ was mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a recent speech in Jammu.
Yami thanked PM Modi for recognising the significance of the movie. The story of ‘Article 370’ centres on the revocation of Jammu & Kashmir’s special status, and Yami plays an intelligence officer called Zooni Haksar.
Aditya Dhar, Yami’s husband, makes his production debut in the movie via B62 Studios. Dhar, best known for helming the blockbuster “Uri: The Surgical Strike” in 2019.
An important historical event that happened on August 5, 2019, was the Central government’s revocation of Article 370. The former state of Jammu and Kashmir was divided into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as a result of this decision.
Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Arun Govil, Kiran Karmarkar, Mohan Agashe, Rajendranath Zutshi, Divya Seth, Raj Arjun, and Sumit Kaul are among the gifted ensemble cast members of “Article 370,” which also stars Yami Gautam and Priyamani.
