The biggest stars in fashion come together for the launch of Vogue World.
The Paris event, which pays tribute to the Olympics by matching a few sports with French fashion from each decade, will welcome everyone from athletes to artists over the course of the next several days. Supermodel Cara Delevingne was among the first to arrive; she paid tribute to the subject by donning an outfit by French designer Jean Paul Gaultier.
The pink satin minidress, created by Simone Rocha, had an out-and-up projecting cone bra that resembled horns. A rigid corset top that laced up on each side and appeared to perch atop layers of additional corsets complemented the odd pointed style. At the bottom of the dress, ruffles gave the impression that Delevingne was sporting similar pink bloomers. The dress had several elastic ribbons hanging from the bottom that gave the ensemble a garter-like appearance.
Delevingne accessorised the private gown with shimmering thin stockings and matching pink satin ballet flats, the latter of which had upward-pointing toes to echo the shape of the gown’s bust. Wearing the elf-like slippers, she struck a flirtatious posture. To complete the ensemble, she added a white satin sailor’s cap, a signature piece by Jean Paul Gaultier, with ribbon bows flowing around her shoulders.

For others, the ensemble would have seemed like a costume, but Delevingne nailed it. The supermodel wore her pin-straight blonde highlights in a style appropriate for the event. Her glamorous look featured her typical trimmed brows, a mauve lipstick, and a seductive brown smoky eye.
