Mr. & Mrs. Mahi: A Film Critique

This movie has potential, but it makes no sense. Critics have said that it is almost unlikely that a wife who was a childhood gully cricket star could be trained in six months to pass the state trials by her husband, who hasn’t played cricket for five years. This point cannot be made to look reasonable by any number of practice montages. Regarding the characters, Mahendra is shown as a “good and supportive husband,” but we also see that he is a wounded ego and that he is secretly jealous of his wife’s accomplishments.

Mahima appears to be a one-dimensional persona created to carry out her husband’s “long-lost dream.” Positively, there are some heartwarming and realistic scenes in this movie that will stick with you. There are instances when being a husband and wife will give you the chills.
