BET Awards: Live-Updated Winners List
So far, among the victors are Killer Mike, Usher, and Tyla. The event, which takes place in Los Angeles on Sunday night, is hosted by Taraji P. Henson.
Tyla took home the first prize of the evening—best foreign act—and went on to win best new artist. Best male R&B/pop artist went to Usher, who will receive a lifetime achievement award during the programme, and best female R&B/pop artist went to SZA, who was not present. Michael’s album of the year went to Killer Mike. The BET was won by Victoria Monét. Her prize. Best actress went to Regina King, who was also not present.
With performances by Will Smith, who sang his brand-new song “You Can Make It,” and Childish Gambino (real name: Donald Glover), who revealed last week that he will be releasing a new single titled “Lithonia,” the BET Awards ceremony is sure to provide some exciting moments.
