The story of Diesel, the donkey that got lost in the United States far from his Californian farm and was taken in by elk, may be the basis for Disney’s upcoming movie. With one exception—this narrative is entirely factual and has nothing to do with a cartoon.
According to HuffPost, Donkey Diesel used to reside on a farm in the Cache Creek Wilderness in Northern California. In 2019, the donkey ran off after he suddenly grew scared while trekking with his American owner, Dave Drewry. The Drewry couple searched for him, spending weeks searching the area and even deploying a drone, but in vain. Yes, Diesel was gone. up to now.
A little family indeed
Diesel was discovered a mere few kilometers from his disappearance, nearly five years after he vanished. Plus, he’s in fantastic form.
He was watching a herd of elk when he was approached by an American hunter. They even videotaped the scene! A donkey is seen standing amid twelve untamed elk, all of them simultaneously staring at the camera before trotting off. A very little family.
The owner of the donkey later identified it and expressed his happiness. Diesel was, it must be stated, no stranger to the outdoors, having been adopted as a wild donkey as part of a program designed to lower the number of animals allowed to wander freely on public grounds. Diesel can so survive without assistance from people. And now his pals the elk are keeping an eye on him.
