RBI | When will interest rates be the same?
RBI | June 6, Mumbai: It is anticipated that the RBI will likely leave key interest rates unchanged this time. The three-day bi-monthly monetary policy review by the RBI will conclude on Friday. It started on Wednesday. In the morning, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das is expected to make an announcement regarding the interest rates for repo and reverse repo.
Since February of last year, the RBI has reportedly conducted monetary reviews without discussing interest rates. The repo rate stays at 6.5 percent as a result. Consequently, there has been no decline in loan interest rates. The weight of EMIs never goes away. Given this context and the continued high levels of inflation, some people do not believe that interest rates will drop this time around.
