Red Swan, Parts I and II Recap of the Previous Episode

Oh Wansoo’s illness and her marriage to Kim Yonggu were introduced to us in Red Swan Season 1 Episode 1. We observe that Kim Yonggu’s adultery has spread far, and Oh Wansoo is used to seeing him in a humiliating situation. Oh, Wansoo is the current head of the NOW Foundation and leads a wealthy but meaningless existence.

The first episode shows the assassination attempt on Oh Wansoo in Manila and how Seo Doyoon intervenes to save her.

The second episode opens with yet another Oh Wansoo memory before cutting to the present, where Kim Yonggu was seeing Oh Wansoo’s sister while Oh Wansoo was growing closer to Seo Doyoon.

Concerning Red Swan: Season One

The plot of Red Swan, also known as Hwain Gamunui Seukaendeul (in Korean), centres on the arranged union of wealthy Kim Yonggu and well-known golfer Oh Wansoo.

The Hwain Group’s heir, Yonggu, was impressed with Oh Wansoo’s golf skill. He asked Oh Wansoo to marry him, and she accepted because she wanted to pay off her mother’s debt—Oh Wansoo was actually quite underprivileged but had overcome it to become a professional golfer.

The supposedly idyllic marriage, however, quickly became dismal due to Kim Yonggu’s infidelity. Wansoo chose to put up with the difficulties and carry on for ten years, but one evening, while appearing as a goodwill ambassador in Manila, she was the target of an attempted assassination.

Her bodyguard, Seo Doyoon, saves her from the assassination, and Oh Wansoo falls in love with him right away. She is ignorant of Seo Doyoon’s true motivations for working for Hwain, though.

After ten years of membership in the organisation, there are still a lot of secrets that need to be revealed, and Oh Wansoo will get entangled in a web of deceit from all directions.
