Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has set conditions for Telugu film industry
Tollywood producers have been demanding the Telangana government to increase movie tickets. Now the Telangana CM has imposed some conditions for the Tollywood people, and he said that the government will help the film people only if the conditions are fulfilled.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was the CM of Andhra Pradesh, tried to control the Telugu film industry. He had drastically reduced the ticket price of the cinema without consulting the people of the film industry. Benefit shows and special shows were cancelled. He was ready to do the auditing of cinemas. He was going to keep an eye on the business of construction companies. The Telugu film industry was strongly opposed to this.
Finally, Jagan himself has been removed from the government and Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, who are dear to the film industry, have been appointed. Meanwhile, the CM of the neighboring state of Telangana has now imposed some conditions for Tollywood.
Congress Party is in power in Telangana and CM Revanth Reddy was also said to support the film industry. But now Revanth Reddy has said that if the government wants to help the film industry, they have to follow certain conditions. Revanth Reddy has imposed some easy, some tough conditions.
The film industry has been making requests to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh government to increase the ticket price of big budget movies. “Let’s agree that it is right to ask for an increase in ticket prices to increase your business but you also have to have social concerns. Movie actors and actresses have to participate in social awareness programs. Videos should be made and shared against drug abuse, cybercrime and other social ills. Also it has to be shown before the movie airs. Only then will the government provide necessary assistance to the film industry’ said Revanth Reddy.
