Inspired by Simple Suni’s new movie, Kuvempu

One of the talented directors of Kannada, Simple Suni has written the story of his next movie inspired by Kuvempu’s poem. They are hoping to introduce a new actor through this movie.

Director Simple Suni is one of the talented directors of Kannada cinema. Simple Suni is one of the few directors who not only rely on the mass image of heroes, grand making, but also emphasize on the story. Simple Suni has now started a new movie. What is special is that Simple Suni’s new movie has been inspired by a poem by national poet Kuvempu. Simple Suni has kept the name of Kuvempu’s poem for the new movie.

‘Kannadigas have a special love for literature. There is literature in Kannada. Simple Suni said that we have to make movie stories by taking inspiration from it. Taking inspiration from Kuvempu’s popular poem ‘Deva Riju Ridunu’, Simple Suni, who is writing a new story and making a movie, has given the same name to his movie.

Talking about how the story was born, Simple Suni said, ‘I went to Golden Star Ganesh’s house one evening. Then talking to them, in the evening the atmosphere here is very romantic. In the evening, a flock of parrots fly together from the top of our house. Then Simple Suni remembers Kuvempu’s poem ‘God has risen’. The lines that everything is predetermined, everything is God’s creation resonated in his mind and it sounded like the story of the movie was told keeping the same theme.

Apart from naming the movie as ‘Deva Riju Karde’, Simple Suni, whose story is based on the spirit of that poem, is introducing a new talent named Viraj to the film industry through this movie. The shooting of the movie will start soon.

Suni also spoke about the Kannada cinema audience and said, ‘Before Covid, the audience used to accept mediocre movies, but after Covid, they are seeing blockbuster movies like ‘KGF’, ‘Kantara’ and now they are winning over the best movies.
