Rapper Rick Ross got into a fight in Vancouver
Rick Ross, an American rapper, was in Vancouver for the Ignite music festival.
Following the release of a video, the organisers of a Vancouver festival have revealed that American rapper Rick Ross was involved in a brawl outside BC Place stadium on Sunday night.
Rick Ross performed at the Ignite music event, which took place in Place des Nations, close to the stadium. According to reports, the confrontation happened after Rick Ross sang Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us,” which is a musical jab at Toronto rapper Drake.
In the midst of a crowd, the rapper is seen in a video shared on social media platform X engaging in a heated argument with another man. Then, just before a brawl breaks out, the latter seems to punch Rick Ross.
The incident, which Lindsay Sparrow of Canadian Events Agency characterises as a “short altercation,” happened backstage.
She claimed that security services intervened swiftly to bring the situation under control. She reported not knowing of any severe injuries resulting from the altercation.
Vancouver police and emergency services were not called to the scene.
