The accused belonging to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang were planning to acquire modern weapons to kill Salman Khan, according to the chargesheet filed by the Navi Mumbai police.

In the month of April, there was an early morning shooting at the Galaxy apartment of Bollywood actor Salman Khan . Later the name of Bishnoi gang was attached to this case. A Bishnoi gang member brought from Pakistan used AK-47, M16 and AK-92 for this killing. Shooters were hired for Rs 25 lakh to kill Salman Khan. The Panvel City Police said in the charge sheet that the Bishnoi gang hatched a conspiracy to kill film actor Salman Khan between August 2023 and April 2024.

The police have arrested several members of the Bishnoi gang in their charge sheet. Among these accused are Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap arrested from Uttar Pradesh, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahai alias Sandeep Bishnoi arrested from Gujarat, Waspi Mahmood Khan alias Wasim Chikna arrested from Sambhajinagar, Jishan Jakrul Hasan alias Javed Khan and Deepal Hawa Singh Gogalia arrested from Uttar Pradesh. including John Valmiki.

According to the charge sheet filed in the Panvel Magistrate Court last month, the accused had created a WhatsApp group in which they were sharing messages about the use of high-tech weapons to kill Salman. In these messages and WhatsApp calls, it was said that weapons similar to those used to kill Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala would be used.
According to the charge sheet, Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Amol Bishnoi and Goldie Brar hatched this entire conspiracy with 60 to 70 people involved in the conspiracy. Another person in this WhatsApp video call has been identified as Dogar from Pakistan. Investigation revealed that the gang intended to kill the actor with a Turkish-made Jigana pistol, which was used to shoot Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.

Police have registered a case against 17 people, including Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi, in connection with the shooting outside Salman Khan’s house. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in Sabarmati Jail, Ahmedabad.
