The owners of Pooja Entertainment, Vashu and Jackie Bhagnani, have been in the news recently. According to media sources, Vashu Bhagnani is selling his Pooja Entertainment office located in Mumbai’s Juhu. He is also charged with firing 80% of the production house’s staff and failing to pay the dues. Vashu Bhagnani is rumoured to owe 250 crore rupees, according to a story that went popular on social media. Vashu Bhagnani, the producer, has now spoken out in response to all of these accusations. He has mentioned layoffs and rumours that the office was being sold.

The office that is being discussed has not been sold; it is still ours, according to Vashu Bhagnani. We just completed this building 1.5 years ago, and right now just the office is being transformed into a skyscraper with opulent apartments to be built inside. Our decision to renovate the workplace space was contingent upon the release of “Bade Mian Chote Mian.” Vashu Bhagnani dismissed rumours that staff members were being let go, claiming that they were fortunate to be moved back to their previous office. 

The creators refuse to give up.

Rating things on social media is not the only method to tackle this. We will all come up with a solution if there is a significant issue. Nobody flees when they come to talk in my office. I refuse to give in to blackmail or pressure of any kind.

Workers and former staff are dissatisfied

Amidst these disclosures from Vishu Bhagnani, we attempted to speak with a few of his former associates and suppliers. An employee—who wished to remain anonymous—expressed hope that, should “Bade Mian Chhote Mian” continue, he would receive his money back. However, that was not possible. The movie was a huge failure. He cannot act in this way going forward because he has obligations to his family as well. Nonetheless, the worker at Pooja Entertainment answered in a cool-headed way. However, many of the departing employees blasted the manufacturers.

An ex-crew member from Mumbai told TV9 Hindi Digital in a conversation that following Vashu Bhagnani’s comment to a portal, “Let’s go and talk instead of complaining on social media.” The ex-crew member had been waiting for money from Pooja Entertainment for 1.5 years. I went to his office in the interim as well. But after that, the following date is stated. They are unable to give us any money here. Nonetheless, they are wealthy enough to host extravagant parties.

On the other hand, Pooja Entertainment has also begun work on its upcoming project, an animated series.

Can Akshay Kumar assist?

Some employees are now calling on Akshay Kumar, who stands by those in the industry through thick and thin, to step up and assist them so they may get their money back. Vashu Bhagnani made a statement while filing this news, stating that he received a call from Akshay Kumar and is willing to assist him without any restrictions after learning about the sale of the office. Vashu Bhagnani disclosed that, in addition to Akshay Kumar, he was also approached by David Dhawan, Sunny Deol, and Sunil Shetty. He expressed his happiness that, in this day and age, there are still individuals in the industry who volunteer to support their peers.
