The well-known Indian singer warned fans not to listen to loud music while driving after revealing on Instagram that she suffers from sensorineural hearing loss.
Alka Yagnik, a well-known playback singer from India, disclosed an unexpected health problem. On June 18, Yagnik disclosed his diagnosis of an unexpected hearing loss in an emotional Instagram post.
Yagnik described the startling experience she had a few weeks prior when she got off a plane in the article, saying, “I suddenly felt like I couldn’t hear anything”. She mustered the bravery to tell her admirers and well-wishers about the illness in spite of the shock, saying, “My doctors have diagnosed it as a rare sensorineural hearing loss.”
The singer, who gives regular performances around India and other countries, called her hearing loss a “sudden shock” and urged her followers to pray. She also sent a warning: “I would like to add a word of caution about exposure to very loud music and headphones to my fans and young colleagues.” I hope to disclose the health hazards associated with my work life eventually.
