King Charles celebrates the dresser of Princess Anne, the X Factor star, and his royal doctors.
The birthday list of the queen was made public before to Trooping the Colour.
As he continues his cancer treatment, the King has personally honoured his royal physicians.
Among the recipients of Charles’s birthday accolades are two members of his medical staff, Post Office activist Alan Bates, former X-Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson, and the dresser for the Princess Royal.
Charles has acknowledged the personal services provided to the king by Dr. Michael Dixon, the head of the Royal Medical Household, and Dr. Fiona Butler, his general practitioner, who is also referred to as the Apothecary to the King.
Dr. Butler has became a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO), and Dr. Dixon has been appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO).
His medical staff was said to be “very encouraged” by the King’s success during his cancer treatment and to “remain positive” about his sustained recovery when he resumed public duties in April.
In the meantime, Sir Alan Bates received a knighthood in appreciation for his advocacy efforts bringing attention to the Post Office Horizon affair.
Toby Jones’s character, Sir Alan, the founder of Justice for Subpostmasters Alliance, was “honoured” to get his knighthood, according to Jones.
However, I am aware that throughout the years, I have had hundreds of emails and letters of support from people, and many of them appear to feel that I ought to be recognised for the work that I have done for them or on their behalf.”I acknowledge that I am the beneficiary of it all and that it is on behalf of the group as a whole, and that the terrible things that have happened to them are not yet ended.”
In addition, Veronica Cain, the Princess Royal’s dresser, received the Bar to the Royal Victorian Order (Silver) in recognition of her dedication to Anne.
The Princess has frequently been referred to as a style icon due to her reputation for sustainable fashion.
One of the former employees of the Prince of Wales also received honours.
Jean-Christophe Grey, the former private secretary and chief aide of Prince William, has also been decorated and designated as an LVO.
Actress Imelda Staunton, fashion accessory designer Anya Hindmarch, and artist Tracey Emin were all named Dames on the list.
Countdown’s Susie Dent, singer and former X-Factor star Rebecca Ferguson, and vocalist Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran were among the celebrities awarded MBEs.
In the realm of sports, former England football player Karen Carney was awarded an OBE, and former cyclist Chris Boardman and midfielder Graeme Souness of Liverpool were awarded CBEs.
Former prime minister Gordon Brown received the highest honor—that of being named a Companion of Honour.
