Italy is now the champion, while the runners-up in Euro 2020 One of the favourites is England.
The greatest teams in Europe will face battle in Euro 2024 to determine who is the continent’s ruler. Italy is currently the champion, but other countries like England, France, Spain, and Portugal are expected to compete, and hosts Germany is a formidable opponent. The action starts on June 14 and ends with the final on July 14.
While tiny countries like Georgia and Albania want to surprise everyone, many of the best players in the globe, including Jude Bellingham of England and Kylian Mbappe of France, will be on display during the summer. 16 out of 24 teams that competed in the group stage moved on to the knockout phases. The competition, now in its 17th year, will pit 24 teams against one another in ten cities throughout Germany.
Venues: Arena AufSchalke, Cologne Stadium, Waldstadion, and Leipzig Stadium: UEFA renamed the following venues for this competition: UEFA’s RheinEnergieStadion (FC Koln), Deutsche Bank Park (Eintracht Frankfurt), Leipzig’s Red Bull Arena (RB Leipzig), and Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins-Arena (Schalke 04). Games up until the round of 16 will be played at these locations.
Stuttgart’s MHPArena (VfB Stuttgart), Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion (Hamburger SV), and Dusseldorf’s Merkur Spiel-Arena (Fortuna Dusseldorf) will host matches until the quarterfinals. These venues have all been renamed by UEFA specifically for this competition.
Fußball Arena München and BVB Stadion Dortmund: UEFA renamed both venues for this competition. Matches up to the semifinals will take place at Munich’s Allianz Arena (Bayern Munich) and Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park (Borussia Dortmund).
Olympiastadion: Berlin’s Olympiastadion will host the games leading up to the championship match (Hertha BSC).
